Psyche Origami announces the release of its third full-length offering entitled Flagship. Flagship was built to be a treatise on the idea of navigating uncharted territory with hip-hop being the primary vehicle of travel. MC Wyzsztyk, with the help of guest producers both domestic and international, creates sonically rich soundscapes complete with thick drums, popping snares, and lush grooves that beat with a funk jazz sentiment all of which lay the foundation for Wyzsztyk’s intricate lyrical patterns and DJ’s Synthesis and Dainja’s precise turntable musings. The pinpoint lyrical accuracy and on point scratches are a mainstay in Psyche Origami’s arsenal. The result is a product that stays consistent with PO’s earlier work on the albums Is Ellipsis and The Standard.
